    You might not recognize John Gossett’s name, but if you’re a fan of motorsports, chances are you’ve seen—or even own—his work.

    Motorsports have been part of John’s life since his early teens. Raised with racing in his blood, his home track is Sebring International Raceway, where he attended his first professional race at the iconic 1980 12 Hours of Sebring. By 1987, he was behind the wheel himself at the Skip Barber Racing School. For John, racing isn’t just a sport; it’s a sensory feast—sounds, smells, and a visual celebration of unadulterated speed. That passion shines through in his designs, making merchandise that feels as fast as the cars themselves.

    An artist from the moment he could hold a pencil, John grew up under the influence of his father, a now-retired architect and British sports car enthusiast. His weekends were spent at racetracks, nurturing a love for both design and racing. After studying Advertising Design at Palm Beach Junior College and Industrial Design at Arizona State University, John stayed close to the racing world by working as a corner worker and designing T-shirts for CART and IMSA teams and drivers.

    Professionally, John honed his craft as Art Director for Craton, Inc., where he created merchandise and event posters for some of racing’s most legendary institutions, including IMSA, Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Lime Rock Park, and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. His portfolio extends to the top four IndyCar races outside the Indy 500, as well as highly praised team merchandise.

    Today, John channels his nearly 40 years of creative expertise into Visual HP, his motorsports merchandise company. His designs combine his love for racing, a lifetime of artistic skill, and a deep understanding of how to connect with fans.
